Students who receive RTI services:
Your child receives 30 minutes of daily small group reading instruction in addition to what is taught in the classroom. Here are some activities that he/she would be working on during this intervention time. You can have your child make words with cut out, magnetic, or virtual letters, spell words using sound boxes, practice sight words, and read and answer questions with your child. We also added virtual manipulatives (letters for making words, elkonin boxes for sound boxes). Don’t forget that your child has a Raz-Kids account where he/she can listen to a story, read the story, and then answer questions about the story. This is additional practice to what the district has posted online.
